Wonderful corset! And some sizing tips
As far as sizing goes: if you have and average waist and are well endowed, the sizing chart should be fine. My natural waist is 31.5, so I would have gotten size 28, but my bra size is 34B (36in across the nipples). I’ve tried this type of corset on at Renaissance faires before, and they tend to not be too forgiving to smaller breasts. Anyways, I played it safe and got size 26. The modesty panel was very handy–I opned it to show the panel most of the way, but the fit is great now in both waist and breasts. I can wear it with or without a bra, but I personally think it looks best with a push-up.
The one thing I was kind of annoyed by was the belt. The fact that the corset came with a belt, and the belt had pockets, was the deciding factor for me. However, the belt was way too tight–I could only fasten at the last hole with effort, and it was impossible with pants on. Since I wasnt a huge fan of the collar, I ended removing that and cutting sections from it, taking out my sewing machine, and adding it to the belt, adding about 4in to its length. I didn’t do the neatest job, so it’s obvious (to me at least) but it fits much better now. It would be nice if the seller asked for hip size as well to accommodate various sizes, especially since the belt and jacket are packaged separately.
All in all, I do think it’s a great corset, especially for the price, and I look forward to wearing it to my next Renaissance faire.
belt a little small!
When it fits right
BEAUTIFUL CORSET – FITS WELL!
Love the quality of the material and clasps. I got so many compliments at the Renaissance Festival I went to. I love the belts and the jacked – all fit well. Only problem I had was the prong inside the belt that holds the belt in the size hole was a little flimsy so I had to use a pin. Otherwise I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS CORSET!
